Your Needs Determine Our Direction
We found that many patients we worked with relied on our expertise for treatment of back, joint and neck problems, neuromusculoskeletal disorders and headaches. We observed that these kinds of problems typically occurred when people were at work or involved in sports. We quickly realized that to be responsive to our patients most urgent health concerns, it would be necessary to allow their needs to determine the focus of our services.
Dr. Vaziri completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Davis earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition with an emphasis in Biochemistry. Post-graduate studies were completed at Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1989 and at Emperor's College of Traditional Oriental Medicine with a degree in Acupuncture and Herbology in 2001.
In addition to Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Nutrition and Herbology, Dr. Vaziri specializes in Pain Management, Sports-Related Injuries, Orthotics and is trained in Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation. He also hosts corporate lectures focusing on workplace and lifestyle ergonomics as well as providing Ergonomic Evaluations. While building his diverse practice, Dr. Vaziri has successfully integrated both Western and Eastern philosophies.

Chiropractic Adjustments
Lack of nervous system integrity sets the stage for disease and ill health. Chiropractic adjustments reduce subluxations thereby restoring normal function to the spine and joints and encouraging the healing process. A subluxation is the result of spinal bones with improper motion or position affecting nerve communications between your brain and your body.
Depending on the nature of your condition, either force or non-force adjustive techniques may be utilized.
Physiotherapy
The application of a variety of physiotherapy modalities, such as low level laser, ultrasound, electrical muscle stimulation, massage or traction may be used depending on your condition and stage of healing. These modalities are used to encourage the healing process.
Massage Therapy
Massage therapy improves circulation by bringing oxygen and other nutrients to body tissues. It relieves muscle tension and pain, increases flexibility and mobility, and helps clear lactic acid and other waste, thus reducing pain and stiffness in muscles and joints. VAM offers many different types of massage to choose from: Swedish Massage (overall relaxation), Deep Tissue Massage (break up trigger points/knots and scar tissue), Sports Massage, Pre-Natal Massage and Reflexology.

Vaziri Alternative Medicine uses a state of the art Bioelectric Impedance Measurement (BIM) device to measure 58 different electrical circuits in your body related to specific organs and systems (i.e. liver, heart, lungs, immune system). The data is analyzed and proper, flexible, custom orthotics to match your specific condition is recommended. The inserts support the arches of the feet and encourage normal body biomechanics.

Acupuncture
Acupuncture was developed and refined over the course of thousands of years as a method of dissolving the energy blockages and impairments that may contribute to illness and disease.
Once your physical condition has been evaluated and identified, extremely thin, flexible needles are inserted into meridians (also called energy pathways), which run just beneath the skin thus communicating with the body's major organs. Vaziri Alternative Medicine uses only sterile, disposable needles, so you never have to worry about the risk of infection.
Acupuncture is painless. Patients may feel a mild tingling sensation or heaviness when the needles are inserted. Some patients report a feeling of deep relaxation or even euphoria after treatment -- decidedly a pleasurable experience.
